In the spring of 1998, a 24-year-old former student of Lincoln University named Jeffrey L. Ashford vanished from Jefferson City, Missouri, leaving behind a life and a vehicle he would never return to. On April 28th, while visiting a residence hall on the university's campus, Jeffrey, also known as Jeff, received a page.
