Michael Lee Watkins, aged 49, was last seen on November 6, 1998, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He voluntarily left the city, reportedly en route to Bakersfield, California, to spend Thanksgiving with his daughter. Watkins' journey is known to have taken him to California, where police stopped him on November 16 during a routine traffic stop in Signal Hill.
