In the summer of 2001, a 29-year-old man named Gerald G. Buletic disappeared in Waggaman, Louisiana. The circumstances surrounding his last known moments are both specific and harrowing. Witnesses reported seeing him attempt to swim from the bank of the Mississippi River to a barge. It was a decision with dire consequences, as he was seen going under the water and tragically, never came back to the surface. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a white t-shirt and dark-colored shorts.
