Harold William Galvis, a 26-year-old from Venezuela, was last seen on August 28, 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had been living in the area for about eight months, visiting his sister, and was planning to apply for a doctorate program at Cambridge University in the UK. Galvis, who had a degree in materials engineering, was known to take temporary jobs, such as washing cars, to support himself during his stay.
