Curtis Crosby, a 59-year-old man, was last seen on October 1, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Crosby, originally from New Orleans, had relocated to Utah after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and was known for his advocacy efforts on behalf of other evacuees and the homeless. On the day of his disappearance, police found him camping in an abandoned building in the Millcreek area, just five blocks from his apartment.
