Jeramy Carl Burt, a 33-year-old Navy veteran and father, went missing from Boise, Idaho, on February 11, 2007. After visiting his father's home, he left around 10:30 p.m. to meet a friend but never arrived. In the days following his disappearance, his ex-wife, Kim George, received unsettling text messages from Jeramy’s phone, stating that he was leaving to start a new life. However, Kim doubted the messages were genuinely from him. Jeramy has not been seen or heard from since.
A significant break in the case came in May 2007 when the red Mercury Cougar Jeramy was driving was found abandoned and burned in a remote part of the Owyhee Desert in southwest Idaho. Despite the discovery of the car, no further evidence was found, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
Jeramy had been involved in a complicated legal and personal situation before his disappearance. He had previously testified against his attorney, Jeannie Braun, for illegal activities, which led to her disbarment and imprisonment. Braun became a person of interest in his case, though no conclusive evidence has linked her to his disappearance.
