Wendy Brown Stevenson, age 8, was last seen on December 29, 1969, at a beach in Pompano Beach, Florida. On that day, Wendy and her friend, Peggy Rahn, met by chance at the beach and decided to walk to a nearby ice cream shop. The two girls were last spotted around 1:00 p.m. walking towards the parking lot, where a store clerk reported seeing them with a man who bought them ice cream.
