On December 29, 1969, 9-year-old Peggy Rahn vanished from Pompano Beach, Florida, along with her friend Wendy Stevenson, age 8. The two girls had gone to the beach separately but met by chance and began playing together. Around 1:00 p.m., they were last seen heading to a nearby parking lot to buy ice cream.
