Mitchell Deon Owens, a 4-year-old boy from Menlo Park, California, was last seen on February 3, 1983. In the middle of the night, an unidentified intruder broke into the Owens family's apartment. The man attacked Mitchell's mother, Ora Owens, severely beating her and attempting to strangle her with a telephone cord.
