Jeremy Grice, a 4-year-old boy from North Augusta, South Carolina, disappeared on November 22, 1985. He lived with his mother, stepfather, and infant sister in a mobile home in the Bath area. His mother last saw him when she checked on him around 7 a.m., believing he was asleep. However, a neighbor reported seeing Jeremy standing outside near the family’s mailbox at 8:45 a.m., barefoot and without any shoes, even though it was a cold and rainy morning.
