In the late autumn of 1989, a sense of unease began to settle over a family in Portland, Oregon. Thirty-year-old James T. Dimick, a man with blond hair and blue eyes, had vanished. On November 22, 1989, he was seen by his roommate for what would be the last time, as he left their residence in Northeast Portland.
