Gayla Jean Barnes, a 34-year-old woman, was last seen in the early hours of July 29, 1990, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Around 4:00 a.m., she informed others that she was heading to Denver, about 90 miles away. Barnes was last seen wearing blue jeans and was reportedly displaying signs of mental illness at the time of her disappearance.
