Kenneth "Kenny" Harker, 34, was last seen on October 5, 1996, in Sioux City, Iowa. That day, his white 1977 Chevrolet Suburban was found abandoned on a gravel road, K-42, with its doors open, tires flat, and fuel tank empty. Despite this, there was no sign of Harker at the scene. He was supposed to meet his mother that day but never showed up. Four days later, on October 9, his mother reported him missing after discovering his home deserted.
His beloved dog was left behind without food, and Harker’s medications were also untouched, which was highly unusual, given his medical condition.
Harker had suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident years earlier, which left him disabled, though he lived independently. He was passionate about motorcycles and had recently dropped off a motorcycle engine at a local bike shop for repairs. Investigators suspect foul play due to the unusual circumstances surrounding his disappearance and his attachment to his dog, which he rarely left unattended.
