Princess Perez, a 2-year-old girl from the Bronx, New York, was last seen on June 15, 1996. Her disappearance is surrounded by deeply concerning circumstances. Princess and her two older sisters had previously been placed in foster care due to neglect, but were returned to their parents in January 1996. Shortly after, child welfare officials were again investigating the family, reporting signs of abuse by April of that year.
