Rita Fioretti, a 35-year-old woman, was last seen on August 9, 1986, in the Bronx, New York. She worked for the International Paper Company and was scheduled to attend a business meeting in Chicago, but never arrived. Rita disappeared after a confrontation with her estranged husband, Robert Fioretti, a police officer. At the time, they had been separated, and Rita lived with their two sons while Robert was living with his pregnant girlfriend.
