Everett Thompson Jr., age 11, disappeared on July 5, 1996, along with his parents, Everett Sr. and Lydia Thompson, and his younger brother Andrew. The family lived in Chicago, Illinois, where Everett Sr. owned a local restaurant. The day they vanished, Everett Sr. was at work when he received a frantic call from Lydia, stating that her brother, Kenneth White, was chasing her around their house with an ax.
