David Alan Caouette, aged 64, tragically lost his life on October 12, 2011, in Seal Beach, California, during a horrific mass shooting at Salon Meritage. Caouette, a beloved family man and outdoor enthusiast, was sitting in his parked Land Rover outside the salon when he was randomly targeted and shot by the gunman. This senseless act of violence was part of a larger rampage that claimed the lives of eight individuals, making it one of the deadliest mass shootings in Orange County's history.
