In the summer of 1997, a South Carolina family was irrevocably changed by the disappearance of Douglas Carl Jones. A 35-year-old plumber and former star athlete from Simpsonville, he was last seen on July 30th of that year. On what seemed to be an ordinary day, Jones was spotted at various stores purchasing supplies for a plumbing job he was scheduled to do that evening.
