In the summer of 1999, the community of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, was unsettled by the sudden disappearance of 44-year-old Walter Greg Fowler, a man known to his friends and family by his middle name, Greg. He was last seen on the morning of June 19, 1999. According to his wife, he was heading out for a fishing trip at Barren River Lake, located along the Allen and Warren county line.
