Michael Steven Bowcott, a 47-year-old man from Peoria, Illinois, went missing on June 17, 2001. Earlier that day, Bowcott attended a party where he became involved in a physical altercation, resulting in significant injuries. His sister convinced him to seek medical attention at a local hospital, and she drove him there.
