Jewell Meek Stephenson, an 88-year-old woman, was last seen on June 25, 2001, in Quitman, Texas. Jewell, who suffered from dementia and was hard of hearing, disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Known to walk long distances, she had previously wandered off and was once located near Dallas, where her family resided. On the day of her disappearance, Jewell was wearing a dark purple short-sleeved shirt, a mid-thigh length t-shirt, and men's house slippers.
