Angela Fullmer, 34, was last seen on December 15, 2002, near Mt. Shasta, California. On that day, she and her boyfriend, Thomas O'Connell, reportedly drove to the Twin Pines area near Lake Siskiyou after spending the weekend drinking together. According to O'Connell, they argued over mud in his truck, and Fullmer walked into the nearby forest towards South Fork Road.
He claimed that he later heard a car door close and an engine start, believing Fullmer may have gotten a ride from someone.
Fullmer was reported missing by O'Connell about eight hours after the incident. Initial search efforts were hampered by bad weather, and authorities initially suspected she might have gotten lost. However, foul play is now considered a possibility, particularly as Fullmer left behind five children and had made preparations for Christmas before her disappearance. Fullmer had also asked her mother to take care of her children if anything ever happened to her, which raised further concerns about her fate.
