The couple, both prominent and well-known in the local community, lived part-time on their yacht, "The Yellow Jacket," docked at the Harbour Town marina. Elizabeth was a successful attorney in Savannah, Georgia, and John owned multiple businesses on Hilton Head, including a marina and rental properties.
