Gregory Cook, aged 42, went missing on November 27, 1993, while working on a barge that was being towed on Lake Ontario. The barge encountered severe weather conditions 11 miles east of Oswego, New York, and 9 miles north of Nine Mile Point in the town of New Haven. It is believed that the vessel went down due to the inclement weather, and Cook has not been seen since.
