Dean Heagerty, a 19-year-old man from Oswego, New York, was last seen on November 21, 1976, when he left his parents' home on East Sixth Street around 6:00 p.m. for a short walk. He never returned, and despite searches, no trace of him has ever been found. At the time of his disappearance, Heagerty was struggling with depression and was reportedly experiencing memory loss.
