Pietro Zarfino, a 75-year-old man from Newark, New Jersey, was last seen on January 4, 2000, walking near his family's residence on Bloomfield Avenue around 2:00 p.m. Pietro, who only spoke Italian, was in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease at the time of his disappearance, which may have caused him to become disoriented.
