Indira Montiero, a 22-year-old woman, was last seen on April 2, 2000, at her residence in the 1800 block of 7th Avenue, Manhattan, New York. She was on the phone with a friend the evening prior when her live-in boyfriend, Heriberto Palacio, was overheard yelling at her in the background. Montiero has not been heard from since that day. Palacio claimed the last time he saw her was when she left for a hair appointment, but police later discovered that she never made it to the appointment.
