Gail Katz-Bierenbaum, 29, was last seen alive on July 7, 1985, in her Manhattan apartment. Her husband, Dr. Robert Bierenbaum, a prominent surgeon and licensed pilot, initially claimed that she had stormed out after an argument and never returned. He waited over 30 hours to report her missing.
