In the spring of 2009, Walter Joseph Wilson, a 51-year-old man, was staying with his sister and brother-in-law in Asheville, North Carolina. On March 27, 2009, a day that would become the last his family saw him, he visited his brother-in-law, who was in the hospital, and brought him some items from his sister.
