Karissa Alline Schell, a 16-year-old from Turlock, California, went missing on April 21, 2011. She was last seen leaving a friend’s house between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., stating she would return later that morning, but she never came back. At the time of her disappearance, Karissa was 5'6", weighed 140 pounds, and had brown hair that was dyed burgundy. She was known for her distinctive piercings—on her septum, navel, ears, and cheek—and had a tattoo of lips on her neck.
She was also wearing dark-colored jeans, a black sweatshirt, and a black and gray shirt with a peace sign when she was last seen.
Though initially considered a runaway by authorities, Karissa had no history of running away, and her family insists there was no reason for her to leave. The case garnered attention from various organizations, and the possibility of trafficking was considered due to her phone later being linked to Redwood City, an area known for such activities. Despite various theories and tips, Karissa remains missing, with no confirmed sightings or evidence of her whereabouts since that night.
