Ten days after her disappearance, Sexton’s vehicle was found submerged in an irrigation canal near Turlock Lake. The car's windows were rolled up, the keys remained in the ignition, and some of her personal belongings, including clothing and groceries, were inside. However, her purse was missing, and no further trace of her was found. Despite an investigation, Sexton’s case remains unsolved, with authorities suspecting foul play, possibly linked to her connections with drug traffickers.
