Paul Robert Hibbard, a 25-year-old geologist from Mead, Colorado, disappeared on May 28, 1976, while on a routine geological exploration in Gillette, Wyoming. Hibbard worked for Berge Exploration, specializing in identifying mineral deposits such as uranium, coal, and oil shale. Shortly before his disappearance, he received a suspicious phone call requesting him to bring his specialized van to Gillette.
