Robert Carr, aged 34, was last seen on November 20, 1979, in Palos Verdes, California. He disappeared after going on a fishing trip near San Pedro at Norm's Landing. His boat was later discovered off the coast near Huntington Beach, with debris found at a location known as the 14-mile bank. Despite searches conducted by the Coast Guard, no further traces of Carr were found.
