Missing

Matthew John Ferris, a 20-year-old from Des Moines, Iowa, was reported missing on March 7, 1991. He was last seen in February of that year, displaying unusual behavior that worried his family. Matthew had previously gone missing on July 25, 1990, after leaving a note apologizing for any pain his disappearance might cause. He returned a week later, frightened, and underwent psychiatric treatment for the next six months before enrolling at Iowa State University.
