Timothy Dean Vincent was 26 years old when he was last seen in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 1, 2017. For reasons that are not publicly known, he was not officially reported as a missing person until over a year and a half later, on December 3, 2018. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are scant, and there is very little information available about what might have led to him vanishing. He has had no contact with friends or family since the day he went missing.
At the time of his disappearance, Timothy was described as being 6'4" tall and weighing between 200 and 210 pounds. He is an African American man with black hair and brown eyes. He has several distinguishing physical characteristics, including a scar on his nose, stretch marks on his inner bicep and shoulder area, and a naturally duck-footed walk. When he was last seen, he was reportedly wearing black shorts. Family members have stated that he typically carried a duffle bag or a backpack that usually contained snacks and some form of protection, with a sword being specifically mentioned. He was also known to sometimes carry a wallet attached to a chain.
Throughout his life, Timothy had resided in several states, which included Ohio, Georgia, Indiana, and Iowa, with potential stays in Illinois and Nebraska as well. However, it is unknown if he traveled to any of these locations after he went missing from Des Moines. His case has received very little media coverage, and his public missing person profile was not created until several years after his disappearance. The Des Moines Police Department is the investigating agency handling his case.
