Johnny Gosch, a 12-year-old paperboy from West Des Moines, Iowa, went missing on September 5, 1982. He was last seen by witnesses near his home while delivering newspapers in the early morning hours. Johnny's wagon, filled with undelivered newspapers, was found abandoned a few blocks from his house, but there was no trace of him. Witnesses reported seeing Johnny being followed by a man in a car, which raised suspicions of abduction.
