On what should have been a day of celebration, her fourteenth birthday, Heather Lorraine Mehlhoff vanished from Salem, Oregon, on July 25, 1993. At the time, Heather, a young woman with black hair and brown eyes, was living with her aunt. That afternoon, she went to visit her mother, telling her she would be back later to celebrate her birthday.
