Tracee Jane Carter, 40, was last seen on October 15, 2002, in Ventura, California. She had mentioned to her family that she was planning a trip to Alaska. On the day of her disappearance, Carter rented a car, packed it with luggage, and strapped a canoe to the roof. Before leaving, she gave most of her belongings to her son. Her rental car was later found abandoned in Eureka, California, but the canoe was missing, and a suicide note was found inside the vehicle. Despite this, her body was never ...
