Debra Lynn Kidwell, aged 26, was last seen on May 4, 1979, in Ventura, California. She was accompanied by her three-year-old twin sons, Joshua and Jackson. Debra's husband, John Needham Kidwell, reported them missing five days later, on May 9, 1979. According to John, he had dropped Debra and the twins off at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), claiming they were flying to Pennsylvania to visit Debra's mother, who was ill.
