In the autumn of 2003, a family's life was forever altered when Edward Sylvio Demers, a 60-year-old man, vanished from his home in Johnsburg, Illinois. On the morning of October 13th, he left his residence on Florence Drive to go for a walk, a common activity for him. Known affectionately as Ed, he was described as a white male, standing 5'10' and weighing around 180 pounds, with graying hair and brown eyes.
