Ethel Gibbs, aged 83, was last seen on August 28, 2011, in Rochester, Vermont. Her disappearance coincided with the destructive flooding caused by Hurricane Irene, which devastated the region. Ethel, along with several other members of the Gibbs family, went missing that day, sparking concerns that the floodwaters might have swept them away.
