Hattie Yvonne Jackson, age 6, disappeared on July 21, 1961, from Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C. She was last seen playing with her older brother and friends in the park when a police officer advised the children to stop swimming in the creek due to pollution. After the officer left, an unknown man offered to take the children to another location for swimming, but they declined.
