On December 3, 1983, 3-month-old April Nicole Williams was abducted from a bus station in Washington, D.C. while traveling with her mother, Eleanor Marie Williams, from Suffolk, Virginia to Junction City, Kansas. During a layover at the Trailways bus station, an unknown woman, who called herself Latoya, approached Eleanor and asked to hold April.
