Gwendolyn Carswell, age 44, was last seen on August 12, 2004, in Washington, D.C. She was a resident of Southeast Washington and had a history of health issues, including bipolar disorder, which may have contributed to her vulnerability. On the day of her disappearance, Carswell left her home and was not heard from again.
