Gail Richards, a 35-year-old woman, was last seen on October 24, 1987, in Mt. Sinai, New York. On the day of her disappearance, she rented a small motorboat from Ralph’s Fishing Station, a marina located on the North Shore of Long Island. The boat was later found drifting unoccupied about three miles offshore, but there was no trace of Gail. The discovery raised immediate concerns, as it was unclear whether she had fallen overboard or met with some other fate.
