Jessica Lopez, a 36-year-old woman from Newburgh, New York, was last seen on November 2, 2019. She was staying with her on-and-off boyfriend, Matthew Mercado, at the Windsor Motel in New Windsor. Her vehicle, a silver Toyota Camry, was later found abandoned in a parking lot in Newburgh. Mercado, who was initially arrested on unrelated burglary charges shortly after her disappearance, later confessed to his involvement in her death.
