Paul Emile Rouanet, a 47-year-old man, was last seen on August 19, 1996, off the coast of California near Monterey. He was aboard his girlfriend's boat, the *Wild Child*. Despite an extensive search and investigation, Rouanet disappeared while at sea, and there has been no trace of him since. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and no definitive explanation has surfaced.
