In the late summer of 2008, concerns began to quietly grow for Annad Arkangel, a 66-year-old man of Filipino descent living on the Big Island of Hawaii. The last known contact with Mr. Arkangel was a telephone call with his son, who resided in California, on August 15, 2008.
