In the city of Nashville, Tennessee, a 33-year-old man named Ivan Deyoung Moore vanished under puzzling circumstances on January 13, 2013. A father of three, Ivan was last seen leaving a friend's home located in the 1100 block of North Second Street. He had spent some time there watching a football game and afterward, was expected to walk the short two-block distance to his own residence on Richardson Avenue. However, Ivan never arrived home that evening, and from that moment, he was never heard from or seen again by his loved ones. At the time of his disappearance, Ivan was described as a Black male, standing between 5'9" and 5'11" tall and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds. He had black, shoulder-length hair worn in braids, brown eyes, and a mustache with a thin goatee. Distinctive features included a tattoo on his shoulder and two tattoos on his chest, one depicting three leaves and the other a tribal design. Ivan was a man with a love for sports and a passion for working on cars and trucks in his spare time. He had attended Lambuth College and was employed by a moving company. The lack of information regarding the clothing he was wearing on the day he went missing adds another layer of difficulty to the case. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department opened an investigation into Ivan's disappearance, but very little information has surfaced over the years. Foul play is considered a possibility in his case, though concrete evidence to support this theory has not been publicly released. His case was officially reported to the police on January 21, 2013, and his information was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). Despite the passage of time, the case remains an open and unresolved matter, leaving a void in the lives of his children and family who continue to hope for answers. The circumstances of his disappearance, a simple walk home that ended in mystery, continue to be a source of anguish and speculation for all who knew him.
