On May 24, 1980, 38-year-old Laddie Schiess disappeared during a tragic boating accident on Palisades Reservoir in Bonneville County, Idaho. Laddie, along with his 10-year-old daughter Toni Schiess, his friend Larry Hill, and Hill’s 6-year-old son Rex, were on a 14-foot aluminum boat when it capsized approximately 100 yards from shore.
